Podcast

Podcast

This is a screenshot of my podcast in GarageBand. We wee advised to used the program GarageBand by our teacher. We were given the task of creating a podcast introduction that lasted about 30 seconds. To do this we used a pre-recorded podcast by Adam and Spencer. Firstly I added a short clip of music that I found on GarageBand as I thought that this sounded good and professional. In my podcast I used the parts of the podcast where Adam and Spencer introduce the show and say what it is about. I added a few clips of music and sound effects to my podcast to make it interesting and catchy.
Before I created this podcast I had never used it before, therefore I have learned lots of new skills throughout this whole task. Here are a few of the many things I have learnt; I have learned how to add clips of music and sound by clicking on the eye in the bottom left corner and searching round the files for the clips I want. Another thing I have learnt is how to adjust sound so that it is quieter in some places than others. To do this select the 'Track Volume' and move the pointers on the line up to make it louder or down to make it quieter. Finally I cropped the podcast down so that I only had the bits where Adam and Spencer introduce it and say the topic.

Adding Sound

To add sound effects and music to your podcast click on the eye in the bottom left corner and there you will find lots of files containing sound effects and music. When you have found the one you want click on it and drag it onto your podcast. You can then crop it or make the sound louder or quieter.
